It helps to include your iPhone or iPad model, the iOS version and the app version (Settings › About in the app).

Common questions

How do I tell a hand?
Open Hands and choose Say it, Type it or Tap it. Tell it the way you'd tell a friend: the game, your cards and seat, what happened on each street and how it ended. The app rebuilds the hand on a table so you can check it.
The app got a card or a bet wrong.
Nothing is judged until you tap Looks right. Anything the app was unsure of is marked for you to check. Tap any card, seat or amount on the hand to fix it first.
I think a verdict is wrong.
On the verdict, tap the menu and choose Report an error. It opens an email to us with the hand attached, so we can check the math. Nothing is uploaded unless you send that email.
Can I use it without sending my hand anywhere?
Yes. If you decline, or turn off "Hand reading by TypeSafe" in Settings › Data & AI, you build hands by tapping and the app reads what it can on your device. All the math already runs on your device.
Is my voice recorded?
No. Speech is turned into text on your device, the recording is never saved, and it never leaves your device. See the Privacy Policy.
How do I restore Pro on a new device?
In the app, go to Settings › Pro › Restore purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account you bought with.
How do I cancel my subscription?
On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Tell Me the Hand. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for.
How do I get a refund?
Apple handles refunds. Ask at reportaproblem.apple.com.
How do I export or delete my data?
Settings › Data & AI › Export my hands saves all your hands as a file. Delete all my data erases everything on your device and in your iCloud. There is no account to delete.
I hit a free limit. What still works?
You can still build and save hands by tapping; their verdicts open when your next free review unlocks, 24 hours after your last one started (the app shows the time). The sample hands, showdown drills, your daily price and push-or-fold spots, and the free lessons all keep working.
